Fishermen's All Natural Bug Repellent!

While preparing for our recent Backwoods Angler TV trip to shoot footage in Northern Maine, I was reminded of all the flying and biting nuisance bugs that inhabit the water's edge up there.  I packed my Absolute Green Fishermen's Bug Repellent.

Wind-free days are great for fishing soft plastics, but they can be brutal on your ankles and legs.......Huh?  A small type of deer fly seemed to love the friendly confines of the lower part of the boat and as soon as we'd exit the fishing decks of the RiverPro and sit or stand in the well of the boat, dinner was served for these "vampires"!

Karen Halo, owmer of Absolute Green, sent me some complimentary repellent to use.  I'm all for all-natural. Chemicals in and on my body don't light me up, so this was definitely a product I wanted to try.  It's made of all-natural essential oils that repel bugs like mosquitos, gnats, black flies and those pesky little deer flies!

My first thought when I sprayed it on my legs was how mild the smell seemed as repellents go.  "Will this stuff be as effective?", I thought, because of the mild smell.  And it's Deet-Free (Deet is toxic,  eats away at epoxies on rods and boats,  and does not dissolve in water.)

I was pleased with its effectiveness!  The flies didn't go for it much, but I did!  It's child safe too, and with 3 girls that are sooooooo concerned with how they smell, this will work for both them and me!

Check out Absolute Green Fishermen's Repellent!  And let Karen know I sent you!
